Hydroelectric Power Plants

Hydroelectric power plant of Úz – 2012

The project is a fluvial power plant system without buffer tank which uses a part of the currently available water flow of the Uz river in order to produce electrical energy, thus without endangering the settled flora and fauna neither in the river, nor in its surroundings. Taking into account that the buffer tanks above 500 m3 to be installed before each water intake is not included in the project, the water intake structures may increase the water level of the rivers maximum up to the highest normal water level and before the water intake structures there is neither deepening nor widening of the current riverbed. In order to increase the usage of the system, two electrical energy production units are installed by each plant, so in the periods of the year when less water flow is available even using one equipment electrical energy can be produced with good efficiency.
